Breakthrough 2017 is a new music artist development programme for developing and emerging music artists from the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Breakthrough will help some of the region’s most promising original music artists to grow their music, by providing free expert support which includes recording, live showcases, music releases, master-classes, radio sessions and professional mentoring.
This is a competitive programme for developing and emerging music artists of any genre who don’t currently have a recording or publishing deal and is FREE to enter. The project is funded by Help Musicians UK as part of their National Grants Programme with part match funding through Arts Council England
To select the artists we will work with this year, we are now inviting on-line submissions where our panel of 5 industry expert judges, Danielle Gigg (Tramlines Festival), Alan Raw (BBC Introducing) , Tony Ereira (Come Play With Me), Frank Wilkes (Alya Records) and Sofia Genders (co-founder End of the Road Festival) will work independently to each other to score each submission under three categories: musicianship, professional presence and overall impact.
If you fit the bill and think that you have the dedication it takes to make it, fill in the form below for your chance of a place. Good luck!
ENTRIES FOR 2017 NOW CLOSED
Good luck to everyone who has entered this year, and remember that if you don’t make it through this time, you can try again in 2018. Huge thanks also to everyone who attended our initial Breakthrough industry support events in Hull, Sheffield, Leeds and Scunthorpe in May and June; your company is what made them so successful.
