Breakthrough is our new music artist development programme for developing and emerging music artists from the Yorkshire and Humber region.
We want to help some of the region’s most promising music artists aged between 18 and 35 to progress, by providing tailored professional support which includes mentoring, live showcases, music releases, radio sessions, master classes.
This is a competitive programme for developing and emerging music artists who don’t currently have a recording or publishing contract and is FREE to enter. The project is funded by Help Musicians UK as part of their National Grants Programme with part match funding through Arts Council England
To select the artists we will work with this year, we are now inviting on-line submissions where our panel of 5 industry expert judges, Danielle Gigg (Tramlines Festival), Alan Raw (BBC Introducing) , Tony Ereira (Come Play With Me), Frank Wilkes (Alya Records) and Paul Littlewood (Higher Rhythm) will work independently to each other to score each submission under three categories: musicianship, web presence and impact.
If you fit the bill and think that you have what it takes, put your best foot forward and fill in the form below for your chance of a place. Good luck!
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 9th JUNE 2017
(Also, keep your ears open for the Music Industry Yorkshire panel events being delivered across the region in May 2017, where as well as learning from music industry experts and networking, you can find out more about the Breakthrough programme).
