06 Jan 2007: Higher Rhythm National winner in the BETTawards
In the first few months of 2005, Higher Rhythm were nominated for the BECTA (British Educational Communications Technology Agency) 'ICT in Practice' BETT award.
After a visit from a judging panel to Doncaster, and following our return visit to BECTA HQ in Coventry to deliver a presentation after making it through to the finals, Higher Rhythm are the National Winners (judged therefore as being the best in the UK!) for post 16 and lifelong inclusive learning 2006.
This was an extremely competitive award which is delieverd annualy to celebrate the very best of ICT learning provision accross the country and therefore involved us being pitched against hundreds of other organisations, some of which were National bodies and highly funded specialist centres.
Because of this we were happy not only that we have brought the prize home to Doncaster, but also proved the value that small organisations such as our own have in engaging people in quality and accessible learning.
