Following the success of our ‘The Music Week’ events over several years, providing music industry support for people in South Yorkshire, Higher Rhythm Ltd, in partnership with Generator (the North East’s Music Business Support Agency) we are pleased to announce, the launch of Plugged In – Yorkshire
Plugged In – Yorkshire is the first regional music business network, and through linking key players, organisations and events for the first time will provide comprehensive support and signposting for aspiring music industry professionals. This is also a first in that it places a Doncaster organisation in the very centre of regional music industry strategy...
After years of delivering successful projects with partners such as the BBC, Higher Rhythm has earned a regional reputation for creative business support, and through this latest high profile project is helping to put Doncaster on the map as a key area for creative enterprise.
Plugged In will provide support services; networking opportunities and guidance to ensure music businesses and organisations throughout the region have the best chance of success.
By registering for free at www.pluggedinyorkshire.com members will have access to services such as international, national and regional seminars, info on funding, message forums and training packages.
Seminars already planned will cover areas such as marketing, producing and releasing music, managing artists, digital distribution, licensing, events and festivals; and will be delivered by leading music industry professionals to give local people an international insight into how to get ahead in today’s constantly shifting music industry.
Plugged In is the result of investment from Screen Yorkshire and Arts Council England and is rolling out from April 1st 2010.
