Arts Council NPO

Higher Rhythm Arts Council

Higher Rhythm is currently an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO). This investment supports the work of our organisation, helping us broadly to:

  • Support developing music artists through recording and releasing works;
  • Develop audiences (live and digital) for regional artists;
  • Provide opportunities for the least engaged art audience segments to experience high quality arts activities;
  • Provide opportunities for young people to participate in creative activities and achieve Arts Awards.

As an NPO, Arts Council England have also committed capital investment of £116k from March 2020 to our organisation, under their Small Capital Programme. This will enable us to continue vital refurbishment works to our premises towards providing a high quality arts experience for future participants in our programmes.

Arts Council England are the national development agency for creativity and culture. By 2030 they aim for England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high quality cultural experiences. Between 2018 and 2022, £1.45 billion of public money from government and an estimated £860 million from the National Lottery will be invested to help deliver this vision.
