Project Delivery

Higher Rhythm has delivered a vast range of projects of differing scales and objectives since 2001. Project funders and partners include trusts, charities, grant giving bodies, and social finance organisations as well as local, regional, national and international government bodies.

We have consistently hit targets, delivered to budget, met deadlines and adhered to contracts to meet and surpass expectations of funders and partners.

Below are just a few of the projects we have delivered since 2001.

Arts Council England

Delivered several multi-year projects focused on building regional arts engagement, including capital investment to enhance our offer. We also held national portfolio organisation status for over a decade.

National Lottery Community Fund

Delivered several multi-year projects spanning a period of over 20 years. These projects have focused on local community engagement in Doncaster through music and community media.

Heritage Lottery Fund

Delivered the two Doncaster Borough-wide multi-year projects, Doncaster Sound Memories and The Icons of Doncaster.

European Social Fund

Delivered multiple learning-focused projects across South Yorkshire over more than a decade, also including the Equal Last Mile creative business support programme and Equal Engage funded work in several prisons across the north of England.

Department for Culture, Media and Sport

Two major projects including Sound Opportunities – a two year volunteering focused project, and a two year project focused on community engagement through creative learning.

Home Office

Three year project focused on reducing gun and knife crime across South Yorkshire.

Doncaster Council

Wide range of projects of differing scales over 20 years, including local engagement and community development. We are also a contracted organisation for the council, on frameworks such as provision of alternative schooling.

European Commission

Delivered several multi-year partnership projects across Europe under the Grundtvig and Leonardo programmes including partners from France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Finland, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Turkey and Austria involving key partners such as the University of Malaga and the University of Venice.

Key Fund

A wide range of projects of varying scales spanning 20 years including investments in our digital and capital infrastructure.

Youth Music

Several multi-year projects spanning more than a decade focused on engaging young people in music making.

Youth Investment Fund

Capital-funded project to develop cellar rooms into usable spaces, supporting activity with young people.

Yorkshire Forward

Kick-started and funded the delivery of Music Industry Yorkshire (initially Plugged In Yorkshire), the Yorkshire region’s music industry development network, via a two year project.

Sheffield City Region LEP

Part-funded international music industry initiatives such as the Yorkshire Music Stage at South By Southwest which we delivered for three years.

Help Musicians

Developed, rolled-out regionally and delivered over five years, our Breakthrough Artist Development Programme for Yorkshire musicians, with HMUK funding.

PRS Foundation

Delivered multiple projects supporting Yorkshire music artists under the Open Fund, and as a Talent Development Partner organisation.

Coalfields Regeneration Trust

Several multi-year community development-focused projects, including capital to develop resources.

South Yorkshire's Community Foundation

Delivered multiple small projects with different focuses ranging from community engagement to improving equipment resources.

BBC Children in Need

Delivered several multi-year projects focused on engaging local young people facing barriers to inclusion.

South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority

Several projects providing match funding towards developing resources and outdoor space.

Creative & Cultural National Skills Academy

Acted as regional lead delivering engagement and development activities for this sector skills council.
