Stage Invasion is the largest annual young people’s live music event in Doncaster

We run our Stage Invasion live music initiative in partnership with Doncaster Music Education Hub.  Stage invasion focuses on supporting young people to participate in authentic experiences in the live music industry.

We work with the young music artists from schools, academies and colleges, each year to develop music they have created. We then offer them the opportunity to play live on a large stage at the project finale (at the end of the summer term). This is a professionally-produced music event held at an established music venue. (Every Stage Invasion finale event so far has been held at the prestigious, Doncaster Dome!) On the night of the event, the audience votes for their favourite. The winner gets to record their music in the pro studio at Higher Rhythm. Almost 400 people turned up to watch 15 young bands from Doncaster schools who entered Stage Invasion 2022 play live at the end of year project finale event. This is currently a FREE opportunity due to working with a range of funders and partners. Demand is high, so we run this opportunity each year on a first come first served basis.
