Our initiative Stage Invasion is run in partnership with Doncaster Music Education Hub, and focuses on supporting young people into the live music industry.
We work with schools, academies and colleges, currently just in Doncaster, to provide opportunities for students to participate in authentic, live music industry-experiences through Stage Invasion, each year.
We work with the young music artists who enter Stage Invasion each year, to develop / refine music that they have created (which must be original, not cover versions) and offer them the opportunity to play live on a large stage at the project finale (at the end of the summer term) which is a professionally-produced music event held at an established music venue.
On the night of the event, the audience votes for their favourite and the winner gets to record their music in the pro studio at Higher Rhythm.
There is obviously a limit to the number of artists we have capacity to work with each year and demand is high, so we run this opportunity each year on a first come first served basis. This is currently a FREE opportunity due to working with a range of funders and partners.
